The Idea

On the lead up to an F1 race weekend, sometimes I'll have the occasional thought of "What was the grid last year?" or "What's a good lap time round the circuit?". There could be any one of a hundred questions like this.

Then I came across an F1 dataset on Kaggle that had historical data that included circuits, results, lap times, pit stops and more. So I started on Paddock, a NextJS site that was built with the sole aim of making data like this easy to view, navigate and digest.

This is still being built as and when I can find the time. Stuck at the moment as I need to migrate my Drizzle implementation to work with Turso instead of MySQL.
